Beaver Creek Kennels specializes in
retriever gun dog training and all-breed obedience training. Training your dog will make the commitment you have chosen to have with this new friend and family member much more enjoyable. This will be the best money, beyond the initial purchase of a good quality pup, that you will invest. A well mannered hunting partner is both pleasurable and highly respected. In day to day life, a well behaved, obedient dog is an enjoyment to you and to all those with whom the dog comes in contact. Proper training of your dog will help to ensure your beloved companion's safety. We work with each dog as an individual. The training pace for each dog is adjusted according to the dog's ability. Our obedience program is very useful for the companion animal owner who wants a well behaved dog. We will work with most medium and large breed dogs. At Beaver Creek, the initial four weeks of gun dog training includes settling in, bonding with the trainer, evaluation, and preliminary obedience work. At the end of the first four weeks of gun dog training, we will give you an evaluation of your dog's abilities. This evaluation helps to determine the direction, trainability level and time needed to complete your dog's retriever training. Owners are welcomed and encouraged to make appointments at Beaver Creek to visit their dogs after the initial four weeks of settling in. You will be given a demonstration of your dog's progress at this time. When training is complete, we work with you so that you understand the commands and disciplines we used in training your dog. This creates a seamless transfer of your dog back home to you and your family. We stand behind the work we do. We will help you work through any problems or questions you may have upon the initial transfer back home. |

| Training fee is $150 per week. The dog's yearly vaccinations and rabies must be current. We will need a copy of these for our file. Your dog will also need to be on a monthly flea/tick preventative.
